The shaded areas in this image are the truck driver’s blind spots.
If you cannot see the truck’s side mirrors, the truck driver cannot see you. In these areas, your vehicle can disappear from a large vehicle or truck driver’s view. But they also have large blind spots, also called No Zones. Large vehicle and truck drivers have a better view in front of them and bigger mirrors. Drivers need to share the road with other vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, road workers, and large vehicles.
